ABOUT BILL

For much of my adult life, I served as a worship leader, minister of music and singer/songwriter. One of my passions is to make great music! After many years, though still available to do concerts and events, I'm now pursuing another passion. The story continues...

Years ago, I was assisting my Mom with her Medicare choices. I have spent a lot of time dealing with insurance companies over the years. But the complexities of Medicare was a whole different deal. I sort of became Mom's "unofficial" agent and dove in to find the information, sign-up rules, laws (and more) she needed to know to make her healthcare decisions. We still work together each year.

Fast forward a few years: After much thought, prayer and conversations with my wife, I made a decision to make a career change to work in Senior Healthcare. I went back to school, earned my Health Insurance License and began to work in the field. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping Seniors like my Mom and the experiences gained in ministry over the years blends beautifully with what I am doing now.

Still, something was missing. Though thankful to get a good start in the Senior Healthcare field, I wanted to have more of a personal connection with people. That's where Advocate Health Advisors came along. One day, I came across their website and read about a military veteran who had a similar Medicare experience as mine. He was helping his mom with Medicare for the first time and experienced complexities much like I mentioned earlier.

Amazingly, he started a company that works with independent agents like me and helps with marketing, professional advice, being a go-between with companies I represent and so much more. What stood out to me most of all is the phrase "having a servant's heart" which is part of their mission.

After finding Advocate, I took my next step in Senior Healthcare and became an Independent Agent who represents several companies. Partnering with Advocate takes away a lot of stress so I can focus on one main goal; to give Seniors the tools they need to make confident and informed healthcare decisions.
